'ROMUALDEZ KA, AQUINO ANG PRESIDENTE'!

     I thought they care for those who lost their lives, I thought he cares because he has been chosen.                                                                                                                                               Upon seeing the viral video of Mar Roxas with Mayor Romualdez, a flashback came to me. Back last national election,  I used to sing Mar Roxas commercial ad and used to know him as "taong pangmasa". I was just a kid that time who loves to    hear rhetoric    words from elite. But when I saw him and heard his words, "You  are a Romualdez and the President is an Aquino",   big words from DILG sec. Mar Roxas to Mayor Romualdez of Tacloban  during their meeting on Novenber 14, 2013 after the big hit of Typhoon Yolanda. Romualdez is a nephew of former First Lady Imelda Marcos, whose husband Ferdinand placed the country under Martial Law in 1972 and went on to rule as a dictator for 14 years.                                                                                                                           Everything changed. I just don't understand why other people used to dig deep roots of the past. I can't believed a man I thought who has dignity and capable to lead people used political implications just to get even. What's about being a Romualdez and being an Aquino? Why can't connect the bridge broken off ? Even at the midst  of thousand casualties, thousands starving stomachs and grieving souls, extension of helping hands can't go through heartily. If one really wants to help, then help. Don't choose people whom you can openly extend helping hand. The Mayor  is a Romualdez and our President is Aquino, whatever stain of the past was made between two big names, Pnoy is still the president of the Philippines, and of Tacloban City. The fact that many people needs our help, there must be no hesitation or use of political issues before giving them assistance. Of course Tacloban is not functioning because they are the victims including the town Mayor  and it is national government and Sec. Mar Roxas obligation to help immediately the victims with or without that letter.To Sec. Roxas, don't use our presidents gap between the Marcos family just to get even. You can't be a good leader of the future if you will keep looking behind the stains of the past.
